Psalms 10:2-11

2In apride the wicked
Lit burn
hotly pursue the afflicted;
Or They will be caught
Let them be dcaught in the plots which they have devised.

3For the wicked eboasts of his fheart’s desire,
And
Or blesses the greedy man
the greedy man curses and hspurns the Lord.
4The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, idoes not seek Him.
All his
Or plots
thoughts are, kThere is no God.”

5His ways
Lit are strong
,
mprosper at all times;
Your judgments are on high, nout of his sight;
As for all his adversaries, he snorts at them.
6He says to himself, oI will not be moved;

Throughout all generations qI will not be in adversity.”
7His rmouth is full of curses and deceit and soppression;
tUnder his tongue is mischief and wickedness.
8He sits in the ulurking places of the villages;
In the hiding places he vkills the innocent;
His eyes
Lit lie in wait
stealthily watch for the
Or poor
,
yunfortunate.
9He lurks in a hiding place as za lion in his
Or thicket
lair;
He ablurks to catch acthe afflicted;
He catches the afflicted when he draws him into his adnet.
10He
Or is crushed
crouches, he
Or is bowed down
bows down,
And the
Or poor
unfortunate fall
Or into his claws
by his mighty ones.
11He aisays to himself, “God has forgotten;
He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”
